Over the past twenty years, we have been deeply involved in pesticide research and technological achievements. Focusing on pesticide research and development, production, and sales, providing reliable agricultural protection solutions for domestic and international markets.
Core Features
1. Significantly Reduces Surface Tension
This product can effectively reduce the surface tension and interfacial tension of water, allowing water-insoluble solid pesticides to be quickly wetted by water.
2. Suitable Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB)
The HLB of this product is generally between 7 and 18. When used as a wetting agent, the HLB value is usually 7–9.
3. Low Molecular Weight
Compared with dispersants, wetting agents have smaller molecular weights, and their main function is to reduce interfacial tension and improve wetting performance.
Performance & Uses
1. Improve Wetting and Spreading
Adding this product in water-based formulations like wettable powders (WP), suspensions (SC), and water-dispersible granules (WG) allows water-insoluble particles to be quickly wetted, effectively shortening the sedimentation time when powders enter water, preventing particles from floating on the surface, and ensuring the pesticide solution can easily and fully disperse. When sprayed onto target surfaces, the wetting agent helps the liquid spread more easily, expanding coverage, allowing the pesticide to evenly coat crops or target surfaces, reducing spray blind spots, and improving spray quality. Additionally, reducing the surface tension of the solution helps the liquid penetrate via stomata or cracks in the cuticle, allowing the active ingredient to enter the target tissue more fully, improving overall effectiveness. By enhancing wetting, spreading, and penetration, pesticide coverage per unit area becomes more uniform, and active ingredients deposit more thoroughly, effectively improving pesticide efficiency and reducing usage while maintaining control.
2. Synergistic Effects in Formulations
This product can increase drug dispersibility, improve formulation stability, and promote the release, absorption, and full efficacy of the active ingredient. Wetting agents used with dispersants can produce a synergistic effect; when the dispersant-to-wetting agent ratio is 3:1, the solution’s surface tension reaches its lowest, showing the most obvious synergy, achieving optimal wetting and dispersing performance. This product is suitable for formulating WP, SC, WG, EW, ME, OD, and other pesticide formulations. It also has some hardness resistance, maintaining good wetting performance in hard water to ensure stable efficacy under different water qualities. Additionally, it can improve physical properties of spray solutions, lower surface tension during spraying, help form fine, uniform droplets, improve droplet adhesion and coverage on target surfaces, and reduce droplet bounce and loss.
3. Flexible Tank-Mix Application
This product can be added as a formulation ingredient or used as a tank-mix adjuvant. As a tank-mix adjuvant, farmers can adjust the amount according to actual spray conditions to improve wetting, especially under hard water or when better adhesion is needed.
Precautions
– This product is an adjuvant and should be used in coordination with other formulation components; it is recommended to determine the optimal dosage and suitable system through testing.
– In pesticide formulations, typical usage is 0.5%–5.0%; as a tank-mix adjuvant, typical usage is 0.02%–0.04%.
– Only use agricultural adjuvants specifically developed for farming; do not substitute with industrial products, household detergents, or laundry powder, to avoid harming pesticide activity or causing damage.
– Most pesticide formulations already contain necessary wetting agents; check if extra addition is needed to avoid waste or pesticide damage.
– Use personal protective equipment during spraying, especially to protect eyes and respiratory tract.
– Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated place to avoid moisture. After opening, seal promptly to prevent long-term exposure to air and deterioration.
